Founded in 1921 as the Palo Alto Art Club with the goal of providing an avenue for artists to come together and share work, the Pacific Art League (PAL) has long worked to show there’s an artist inside all of us. With a newly renovated space in a historic building on Ramona Street in downtown Palo Alto, PAL is celebrating with both an opening reception, Sep 5, and an open house, Sep 13. The Art League made a big splash in early August when they embraced digital media with their Mobile Digital Arts and Creativity Summit. PAL continues that momentum by integrating an iPad/mobile art class into their curriculum this fall. The League will be exhibiting select artist submissions in their gallery through the end of the month, with selections juried for prizes. (Brandon Roos)
