Pacific Edge Voices has been performing innovative a cappella arrangements of jazz and pop (and many other genres) for 36 years—long before Glee and YouTube made it cool.
In June, PEV continues its longstanding, annual “J&P” tradition with some great arrangements of songs both well known and obscure, in groups ranging in size from 2 to 30 singers. This year’s lineup includes Kiss by Prince (via Tom Jones), Who By Fire by Leonard Cohen, Concierto de Aranjuez via the Swingle Singers, Dizzy Gillespie’s A Night in Tunisia, and a Kerry Marsh arrangement of At Last (Etta James, among others).
