Pachuco Jose Y Los Diamantes merge American rhythm and blues and swing with elements of Mexican culture and a bit of Samba and Mambo thrown in here and there. Pachuco refers to a Mexican American subculture of originating from El Paso and Cuidad Juarez. The iconic zoot suits and Caló way of speaking were inspired by Mexican Comedian Germán “Tin-Tan” Valdés and their unique musical style was pioneered by Eduardo “Lalo” Guerrero. Their purpose is to bring a smiling face, some joy, and a few laughs to their fans whether it be in the music or the dancing on stage.
