The exhibition features artwork in various media by a select group of woman artists, all in the tradition of the Bay Area Figurative Movement. This talented collection of creative individuals has produced a body of work that tells a story as exciting as the times we live in. Using paint, pastel, sculpture, drawing, and printmaking, Helen Berggruen, Kay Bradner, Stacey Carter, Dana DeKalb, Lisa Esherick, Robbin Henderson, Naomie Kremer, Diana Krevsky, Tabitha Soren, and Jan Wurm have developed a narrative that reflects our 21st Century culture. In addition to working passionately in their studios, each one has found time to be an active member of the arts community with their medium bringing the message that women artists, long overshadowed by the collecting public, deserve a place in the spotlight.
Exhibition dates: May 26 - June 30, 2018
