ANDY® by FREDDY ANZURESOPENING RECEPTIONThursday 2 May 20197PM - 10PM683 Haight StreetSan Francisco, CA 94117ANDY® is a collection of artwork designed as an homage to American artist, director and producer ANDY WARHOL by FAMILY AFFAIR owner and creative director, FREDDY ANZURES.Produced in collaboration with Haight Street Art Center, ANDY® by FREDDY ANZURES celebrates Warhol’s unique approach and enduring influence as an artist creating provocative work at the intersection of art and commerce. Expressed through the fields of industrial design, corporate identity, advertising, broadcast television, and music, ANDY® is Anzures' debut solo show. The exhibition is inspired and informed by Anzures’ recent involvement with The Andy Warhol Museum as a board member and advisor on technology initiatives. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University where Warhol studied commercial art, Anzures has lived and worked in the Bay Area since 1999 as a professional designer for frogdesign and Apple (a member of the original iPhone Human Interface group under Steve Jobs), while providing music-focused design and art direction for Wax Poetics magazine and Urban Legends (an imprint of Universal Music Group), among other projects for various independent artists and record labels.Special LIVE programming will be aired throughout the duration of the show on social broadcasting platform Caffeine. ANDY® is Family Affair's seventh gallery show culminating in its one-year anniversary with a conversation between Anzures and Patrick Moore, Director of The Andy Warhol Museum on Friday, June 7th at 7PM in the gallery space. The show will run from May 2nd until June 7th, 2019. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at the opening of ANDY®.
