The Swiss University of Art and Design Lausanne (ECAL) has long been recognized as a reference for the world for graphic design. From books, catalogues, magazines and posters, typography to digital projects, ECAL students embrace this discipline. Join the opening of our ECAL Graphic Design exhibition, with a talk by Angelo Benedetto, ECAL's head of graphic design. He is the co-editor of the book, “ECAL Graphic Design,” and developed the concept for this exhibition.

Bio
Angelo Benedetto ECAL Head of Graphic Design (BA)
Angelo Benedetto began his studies at the ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne just at the arrival of director Pierre Keller. After graduating, Benedetto was hired as assistant at ECAL. At that time, his diploma work (Lazy Designer) was published in Gasbook7 by the Japanese editor SHIFT and received a prize at the Swiss Design Awards in 2001. He worked with fellow designers David Rust and Gilles Gavillet (Gavillet & Rust, Optimo) and collaborated with them on several projects until 2003. He joined a new studio and collaborated with designers Nicole Udry and Jonathan Hares. Alongside his freelance graphic activities, he taught at ECAL and held the position of Visual Communication Department coordinator from 2003 to 2009.
