Welcome local and visiting women of the Bay Area!
You are invited to attend, observe, contribute to and participate in our creative process leading up to our next show in April 2018. In open rehearsals we sing as an ensemble, experiment with props, develop lyrics and choreography and, most importantly, share our experiences of all types of gender based harassment from online to the street.
Come put your mouth where our art lives!
FAQs
Why aren't men invited?
Cat Call Choir open rehearsals are safe spaces and sanctuary for women in our community to share and process their experiences of harassment specifically in the absence of men. We deeply value men's experiences and opionions about harassment and seek their feedback in other ways. Be on the lookout for these events on Facebook, Twitter and Eventbrite. We also welcome your feedback via email at
[email protected].
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from rehearsals?
Very limited street parking. We recommend taking BART to Powell Street Station and walking 2 blocks to Turk St.
