Rob Grega’s sole objective as a music selector has always been “Right Place, Right Time.” One could say his career has mirrored this sentiment. In the 90’s he and his friends were notorious in their native Pittsburgh, hosting the world’s biggest talent on a weekly basis to thousands of hungry party people. In 2001 he transplanted to The Bay where his CV has flourished, first as House/Techno Buyer at vinyl importer TRC, next as A&R at one of America’s most beloved dance labels, Om Records, and most recently as Designer / Operations Lead at nightlife app Up All Night. As a DJ, house is an obvious choice when faced with a dance floor, although Rob has become known for a style that often deftly transcends genre. An opportunistic selector intent on maximizing the present moment, he consistently presents a sound that harkens back to the early days of electronic music, with a nostalgia and respect to our culture at its roots.
