Online Workshop 9/17: Beginning Embroidery - Learn to Draw with Thread

Start Your DIY Embroidery Adventure!
Have you ever wanted to create fiber art or to customize your clothing and linens? In Beginning Embroidery, you will learn classic and experimental hand sewing techniques to create drawings in thread. We will learn how to successfully sew several different embroidery stitches that will create unique surfaces, lines, and texture.
The class will begin with introductions and check-in about everyone's skill level. We will start at the very beginning with how to select appropriate fabric for embroidery, how to thread a needle, how to split threads, and how to stretch your fabric on a hoop.
This online workshop takes place on Thursday 9/17 from 5 PM -7 PM PST via Zoom Meeting. You will receive login directions prior to the workshop.
About the instructor:
Jennie Lennick is the founder, creative director, and designer behind Jenny Lemons. For the last 11 months, Jennie has done an embroidered drawing a day. She has been an obsessive stitcher for 25 years and has taught hundreds of people how to stitch through her in-person workshops. We're so excited to finally offer an online class!
