The Redwood City Improvement Association in partnership with Fung Collaboratives, has unveiled the latest Art Kiosk Installation exhibit by artist, Joseph Clayton Mills, titled "Voice Crossing." Join us for the opening reception on Saturday, October 12 at 4 p.m. in the Downtown Redwood City's Courthouse Square Kiosk to welcome the project to the community. "Voice Crossing" gives people the opportunity to look into a time capsule and see a collection of archival films of holiday parades, marching bands, square dances and family celebrations that have happened throughout the years in the Bay Area. Projected through an array of rotating mirrors - the films will create a kaleidoscope of overlapping images--activating the walls of the exhibition. Personal stories from the past will recall memories of immigration and internment camps, the birth of Silicon Valley, the gay rights movement, the music and art scene of the Bay area and more.
In partnership with Fung Collaboratives, the rotating Art Kiosk Installations will continue throughout 2019 with different featured artists in an effort to enhance the community's fine art scene for residents and visitors. "Voice Crossing" will be on display until November 10, 2019.
