Octet ~ A Pop Up Dinner showcasing Local, Seasonal Ingredients

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The Octet Pop Up Dinner is a one-of-a-kind culinary experience, featuring a delicous 5-course, family style  dinner showcasing seasonal and local ingredients, and wines from the Windy Oaks Winery. We are very excited to share our food with you, your family and friends!

We are 8 graduates from San Francisco Cooking School -- Harrison Ebert, John Galvin, Mark Kelly, Karen Let, Tavia Norheim, Dana Quinn, Justin Stevens and Lena Wu.

We became friends while attending the culinary program at San Francisco Cooking School earlier this year. When we graduated in June, we wanted to find a way to continue to cook delicious food together. Since we worked so well in the SFCS kitchen it was a natural place to host this dinner. You will enjoy your meal in a restaurant-style kitchen that has been transformed to a dining room, creating a very unique atmosphere.
The preset dinner menu celebrates the best of this season's farm-to-table ingredients, served family style.

Tasting:  Gazpacho with Celery Blossoms
Salad:  Stone Fruit Salad
Refresher:  Celery Sorbet
Entree:  King Salmon with Horseradish Crust, with Grits and Succotash                                (Vegetarian option prepared with Grilled Eggplant)
Dessert: Charred Peach Panna Cota
Wine selection from Santa Cruz-based Windy Oaks Winery

There will be one seating for the evening, for a maximum of 40 guests, beginning at 6:00pm. Tickets are first come, first served.
Come join us and let us cook a wonderful meal for you!

FAQs
What does "family style" mean?  We are inspried by the big family-and-friend meals many of us grew up with. Family style means we will plate large portions of each dish and place them (and replenish them) on the tables for everyone to share and serve themselves.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?  There are no requirements, but we do want to point out the menu is preset and designed for an adult palete, and the "dining room" is set in a commercial kitchen which may not be conducive (or fun) for kids. Wine will be offered to anyone 21 or older.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? If you are driving, we recommend the large parking lot just across the street from SFCS in Opera Plaza (Impark, 601 Van Ness Ave., SF). Please check BART, MUNI and other public transportation options that are convenient for you.
Can I bring my own wine to the dinner? We have arranged for you to enjoy a range of wines from Windy Oaks Winery, so we ask that you not bring other wine to dinner.
How can I check if my dietary restrictions can be accomodated? We have designed a menu that we believe will accomodate a wide variety of dietary considersations. While will have a limited menu (and therefore a limited flexbility of our ingredients), we are serving "family style" so you can feel free to select the dishes that most appeal to you. Please feel free to contact us (use the button below) if you have questions.
My guest is no longer able to attend, may I bring someone else? I can no longer attend, may I give my ticket to someone else?  Yes, absolutely! You are more than welcome to bring someone else or give your ticket to someone else. Your tickets are interchangable.
What is the cancellation and refund policy? Since we have just 40 spots, we have to be pretty strict on last minute cancellations. We will offer a full refund until 7 days before the event (which will be Sept. 2, 2018). That way, we can invite people who are on our waiting list.
