This exhibition draws from more than 80 of Judith Clancy’s sketchbooks, which are housed in the permanent collection of the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts, the prints and drawings department of the Fine Arts Museums. The last drawings by Judith Clancy (1833–1990), which were competed while the artist worked on a lightweight drawing board while bedridden weeks before her death, illustrated the best-selling A Year in Provence. Its sequel Toujours Provence, included more than 20 of her drawings, many of which were selected from the sketchbooks.
