North Fair Oaks Healthy Community Mural Celebration

Emily Fromm has been working on a series of murals along the Fifth Avenue Underpass in North Fair Oaks over this past year, and wanted to let you know that, as of this week, the project is officially finished. Commissioned by the San Mateo Office of Arts and Culture, this art install consists of nineteen individual murals set amidst recognizable locations in the neighborhood. The overarching theme is 'healthy community,' and was voted on by residents of the neighborhood. Over 100 volunteers and artists aided in the creation of these artworks. It was a truly community endeavor.

Celebrating this occasion at the public unveiling ceremony led by District 4 Supervisor Warren Slocum and the San Mateo Office of Arts and Culture, on Saturday, October 7th, 2023 from 11:30am - 1pm. The event is free, open to the public, and great for families and foks of all ages. Details are listed below for immediate release.
