The North Beach Festival returns to San Francisco’s famed “Little Italy” neighborhood and will feature over 125 arts and crafts booths, tasty food, two stages of live entertainment, Italian street painting, beverage gardens, kid’s chalk art area and the infamous blessing of the animals ceremony. New this year, Circus Bella will bring its popular one-ring circus to the North Beach Festival. Featuring static trapeze, rope walking, a 9-person juggling act, contortion, hula-hoop, original clowning and more, Circus Bella is sure to uplift and entertain the audience.
The North Beach Festival is considered one of the country’s original outdoor Festivals. The Festival takes place along numerous quaint streets in the heart of the North Beach district with its restaurants, shops, bookstores, galleries and more and runs along Grant Avenue, between Columbus and Filbert; and Columbus Avenue between Broadway and Green; and Vallejo and Green Streets between Grant Avenue and Columbus.
Proceeds from the festival allow the North Beach Business Association to fund many neighborhood projects, including installation and maintenance of hanging flower baskets, sidewalk steam cleaning of businesses, holiday lighting of trees on Columbus Avenue, permanent aerial lighting on Grant Avenue, as well as providing financial support for neighborhood organizations.
