Noe Valley Chamber Music kicks off its 27th Season this October with The Westerlies for a full weekend of performances. On Sunday October 13 at 4pm, for NVCM's mainstage series, Sundays at Four, The Westerlies present "Wherein Lies the Good - American Mavericks of the 20th Century." From the art songs of Charles Ives, to the spirituals of the Golden Gate Jubilee Quartet, to the Jazz standards of Duke Ellington, and the gut-wrenching melodies of songwriters Woody Guthrie, Judee Sill, Arthur Russell, and Robin Holcomb, The Westerlies forge a captivating narrative through jazz, classical, and folk languages.

The performance lasts approximately 2 hours. Audience members have the chance to mingle with the performers during a hosted reception following the performance.
TICKETS are $10-40, FREE for children 12 and under.

About The Westerlies:
Formed in 2011, the self-described "accidental brass quartet" takes its name from the prevailing winds that travel from the West to the East. Equally at home in concert halls and living rooms, The Westerlies navigate a wide array of venues and projects.
The Westerlies' 2019-20 season includes engagements at Dumbarton Concerts, Soundings: New Music at the Nasher, Earshot Jazz Festival, Mayo Performing Arts Center, and Choate Rosemary Hall.
