After spending her teens and early twenties as the front person of San Antonio rock and roll sweethearts "Girl In A Coma", Nina Diaz decided to take some "me" time. And fans of her songwriting and unique voice can rejoice because she is good. Not just "side project of your favorite band' good, but she's easily able to stand alone as a solo artist. Girl In A Coma was noticed and signed to Joan Jett's Blackheart record label and it was through this experience that Nina got to see most of the world, opening for acts such as Frank Black and Morrissey. After nearly a decade as the front woman, it was time to feel the liberation and to cut her own path. Her solo act is mature for a 27 year old, her lush and dark voice captivates, soars and plunges with ease while she plays guitar and commands the stage.
