HERITAGE: Throughout the 1930's, 40's, & 50's one could tune-in to remote broadcasts of live performances in metropolitan meccas. During WWII, KSFO operated from The Mark Hopkins' basement in an effort to remain shielded from enemy threats. During this period, Margorie Trumbull rose in prominence for celebrity interviews conducted at The Top of the Mark. The hotel was also home to one of the finest Supper Clubs in the nation: Peacock Court. Here, the social elite went to hobnob in the company of the world's top performers.
