Typography guru Shelley Gruendler takes us through the evolution of typography and how streamlined letter form designs were influenced by neon tube lighting in the 1920s. Designer Kate Widdows demonstrates her letterform magic in PhotoShop to create prototypes of classic neon sign prototypes with GIF animation. Book signing by Heather David for her new book of mid-century ephemera, Motel California, including rarely seen neon motel signage!
