Music Production and Mixing Workshop with Grammy Nominated Producer Jay-J

SEE EVENT DETAILS
This workshop will be platform independent, focusing on mix specific tips, tricks. Our goal is to provide participants with proven, specific, and useful production & mixing pointers to help them achieve the best possible results in the shortest amount of time. The workshop content is not dependent on the music production software tool, or genre, and can benefit all forms of music creation.
During the workshop we will spend a significant amount of our time discussing mixing, problem frequencies and their impact on the final product, editing and critical listening strategies and workflows known to combat less than ideal listening or production environments.
Additional topics that will be covered are drum programming, song arrangement, groove & movement, sound manipulation, working with delays and various effects, stereo imaging & width, pre-mastering and other tricks of the trade. We will be using music projects from the participants to guide the specifics of this discussion.
Based on the individualized nature of the training, participation is limited to benefit those attending the workshop. All ages welcome, first come first serve.
The workshop will be lead by Grammy nominated music producer Jay-J, who’s lead music production workshops in New York, Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Melbourne and Sydney in collaboration with Apple, Avid, Sol Republic, Sonnox Plugins, WMC Remix Hotels, and Music Expo (SF and Miami).
