Moving Wooden Toys with Sebastian Petersen

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Local artist and educator Sebastian Petersen will be leading workshop attendees in a fun (yet safe!) workshop making MOVING wooden toys. This workshop will focus on using sustainable wood materials--often old vintage toys and blocks from simpler times--to create wooden characters and mini sculptures with basic movement abilities.

The workshop is for ages 8+. Minors must be accompanied by a ticket-paying adult. Adults are also encouraged to attend for inner child purposes.

Please note we have a sliding scale for tickets for this event! The breakdown is as follows:
General Admission #1: Covers the cost of workshop and materials
General Admission #2: Covers cost of workshop, materials, and supports the instructor
General Admission #3: Covers cost of workshop, materials, supports the instructor, and helps keep our workshops more accessible for those in need

About Sebastian
Sebastian Petersen is an illustrator and amateur archivist living on the Central Coast of California. He graduated from the California College of the Arts in 2021 with an Illustration BFA. Additional studies in industrial design at the Pasadena College of Design and fine arts at the San Francisco Art Institution. He was raised in an old ranch house in the arid oak savannas of Southern California, where he spent much of his time reading, walking in the fields, and sculpting. If there were a word to describe his practice, it would be documentary.
