More Fatter

This rock fusion band hailing from Belmont, California in the San Francisco Bay Area. With spacious, brassy dance grooves reminiscent of Earth Wind & Fire and Santana, an introspective, relentless drive harkening back to Deep Purple, and lusciously tight three-part harmonies drawing from The Beatles, More Fatter builds on a bedrock of classic rock and funk. The band combines this firm base with heavy inspiration from modern jazz and hip hop. Building on influences ranging from Snarky Puppy, to Justin Timberlake, to Chicago-based Sidewalk Chalk, More Fatter carves out an edgy sound blurring rock, funk, blues, and jazz.

Guitarist and vocalist, Tommy Economou, founded the band with long-time friend, trombonist, keyboard player, and vocalist Mark Fedronic in August, 2015. Having both just graduated from college and recently moved back to the Bay Area, Fedronic and Economou combined backgrounds in blues, jazz, and years of shared experience singing in the Ragazzi Boys Chorus, with the eclectic versatility of jazz-trained bassist, composer, and producer, Gustaf Claesson. A few months later, soulful drummer and vocalist Liliana Urbain added the essential missing ingredient.

More Fatter celebrates the chaotic zone between humanity’swildest dreams and everyday realities, driven by a mission to create music that picks apart our 21st century world’s rapidly shifting social fabric. Combining this calling with Claesson’sfearlessly lyrical and virtuosic bass lines, Economou’s jaggedly raw guitar solo’s, and a fat, overarching blanket of vocals, keyboards, and brass occasionally enhanced by lucid trumpet parts from Theo Fedronic (Mark’s brother), More Fatter is sure to leave onlookers in a daze
