Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, President of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, presents a special lecture entitled "The Role of Youth in the Civil Rights Movement: Reflections on Birmingham." He will share his perspective on the Civil Rights movement, including the experience of being jailed for participating in the Children's March in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, and provide his insights from a career in education. Free and open to the public.
