Mixed Media Art Journal Workshop at ARCH

MIXED MEDIA ART JOURNAL
Golden Acrylic Gels and Mediums are amazing when creating mixed media pieces. You can use just about anything! In this half day workshop, I will demonstrate how to use gels and mediums in mixed media pieces. I'll show you how to create a playful, technique filled art journal that you can work in and refer to for years to come!
Work with High Flow, Heavy Body, OPEN, and acrylic paint pens along with a  host of  techniques/tools. You'll get the lowdown on stencils, drying time, mixing items such as paper, fabric, metals and more. 
All paints, mediums and gels are included in the class fee!
Tools you should bring: (There is also a kit available at ARCH)

1 piece of Japanese Masa paper (see the kit at ARCH)
General Sketch Wash Pencil (see the kit at ARCH)
Canson Mixed Media XL Pad 10" x 7" (see the kit at ARCH)
Prismacolor pencils (see the kit at ARCH)
Various rubber stamps and/or stencils no larger than 6" x 6" (check at ARCH)
Various brushes (at least one that is 2")
Mixed media items such as leaves, twine, buttons, interesting found objects (small and lightweight).
At least one piece of fabric no smaller than 6" x 6" (cotton, silk, linen, etc) with at least some white see this example 
Paper towels
Roll of freezer paper or paper/foam plates for palette
Two to three PLASTIC palette knives
Scissors
Water container
