MISS HONEY GAY PRIDE 2016

SEE EVENT DETAILS
VIN SOL

Armed with more than ten years of DJ experience, Vin Sol's masterful live sets, production, critically acclaimed mix tapes, and dedication to the tradition of party rocking have made him one of the most influential and in demand DJs around. Born and raised in San Francisco Vin is known as a master of the profession with a forward thinking approach to DJing and an unusually deep knowledge of music history. These skills collide in his production, whether it be with his group Caligula or his own projects. Influenced by the Bay Area's diverse music scene of the 1990's, Vin began digging for rock, soul, funk and disco, club and hip hop records as a kid and his legendary collection will never stop growing.

Vin's musical wizardry hasn't gone unnoticed by The Fader, XLR8R, and local press. In 2008, he was the winner of Smirnoff and 7X7's Best DJ in SF competition and he is just getting warmed up . . . Look for Vin in New York, where his latest rare finds are hitting the clubs.

DAVI A

Even though this Dj’s career has just began to blossom, dAvi A (formerly dAvi) is no new comer to the electronic music dance scene. Being introduced to the LA rave scene at an extremely early age, you could say his roots definitely lie in dance music, even though he enjoys, pursues, and considers in inspiration, other genres such as alt rock, synth, cold wave, indie rock and post-punk. After spending his teenage years around an abundance of 90’s house and techno talent in LA. Davi moved to San Francisco at the age of 20 yrs old. After a couple short years of exploration, he quickly jumped on board the “indie/hipster-esque” boat, after a couple years there he began collaborating and hosting one of SF’s best mix-sexuality Electro/Indie dance parties.. White Diamonds. After a year of WD he moved to NYC to peruse fashion, and fell into the club kid crowd of Susanne Bartsch’s parties… hanging around NYC legends such as Amanda LePore, LadyFag, and Sophia LaMar.

In 2007 dAvi A began his descent back into SF where DJing quickly took off for him, throwing a mix of different parties around SF, which included his Nu Disco/ Disco project WORKIN’ the MACHINE @ SF’s former Triple Crown and different parties at the famous 222 Hyde. Being good friends with (and extremely inspired by) SF legendary party throwers such as the PacificSound crew Solar, Galen and J-Bird (Sunset), the [KONTROL] team Sammy D, Nikola Baytala, Alland Byallo and Craig Kuna, and many more… his style began to emerge. He also takes credit in the introduction of the members of his brother, Ryan Williams, band PILLOWTALK :) OM Records, taking notice, recently requested a podcast mix from dAvi A which you can find on their website https://www.OM-Records.com. dAvi A has also opened for such talents as Jamie Jones, Tiger & Woods, Tone of Arc, Pezzner, Benoit & Sergio, Clockwork and many more in SF. Taking in aspects from all genres of dance music, he created a rare taste of exceptional electronic music. Using Nu Disco, Disco, Synth, Indie, Acid, House and Tech-House, with a touch into the darker side of music, and taking risks, his beats are sure to be called “quality.”

In May 2012 dAvi A relocated to Downtown Los Angeles to share and pursue his sound, and is currently getting involved in the DTLA movement and L.A. nightlife. Having gigs at L.A's funnest underground event, Making Shapes, as well as many other gigs, including SF's Sunset Campout, and many more to come.
