Mill Valley Chamber Music Society begins 2017 to 2018 Marin Chamber Performances concert series with Miró Quartet.
Praised for their musical interpretations, exciting performances and thoughtful programming, Miró Quartet performs throughout the world garnering accolades from critics and audiences. Formed in 1995, the Miró Quartet took first prizes at several national and international competitions including the Banff International String Quartet Competition, the Naumburg Chamber Music Competition and became the first ensemble ever to be awarded the coveted Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2005.
Faculty Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Texas at Austin’s Sarah and Ernest Butler School of Music.
The program includes Haydn: Op. 71 #3; Dvorak: Cypresses (selections); Beethoven: Op. 131
Mill Valley Chamber Music Society offers free admission for young adults 18-years old and under. Audiences members 15-years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.
