THIS EVENT HAS ENDED

If you spend Monday through Friday glued to a glowing screen, take a few hours for some device detox! We’ll use mindfulness techniques to sharpen our focus and enhance our sketching practice. There will be an emphasis on observation, composition, and mark-making. This class will include indoor exercises as well as outdoor sketching. Materials kit included in the workshop cost.
We’ll cover how to:

Be present and get looser when drawing

Zoom in and out to select subjects

Observe and record your surroundings using multiple senses

Break down complex scenes into essential elements

Use vibrant color to accent your line drawings
