About our Headliner
Born and raised in Oakland, California, Josef Anolin is a premiere comedian who got his start in the Bay Area stand-up comedy community. As a third and fourth generation Filipino and Japanese American who grew up a with a bowl cut in East Oakland, Josef has always been a bit outside of the norm, which is reflected in his style and humor. Stand-up comedy is Josef’s outlet and tool to combat the marginalization of Asian American males in mainstream media, while simultaneously reminding himself to not take everything so seriously. With an eased yet charismatic stage presence, Josef engages audiences with personal stories punctuated with hard hitting punchlines.
