Atrium Gallery at Studios on the Park

Human migrations often occur at moments of political and religious unrest undoubtedly affecting the social and global landscape of the hospitable land. Cultures are then forever shaped by successive waves of immigration and artistic expression is ultimately a privileged channel that enables the circulation of visual languages and ideas allowing new identities to flourish through individual and shared stories.

TIMELINE
Digital Submissions - November 9 - December 19
Physical Submissions - December 19: 12 pm - 9 pm
Jurying - December 20
Announcement of Selected Works - December 21
Pickup of Unselected Submissions - December 23: 12 pm - 3 pm
Intake of Selected Digital Submissions - December 27: 12 pm - 6 pm & December 28: 9 am - 12 pm
Reception - January 2: 6 pm - 9 pm
Pickup of Unsold Works - January 31: 5 pm - 6 pm & February 1: 9 am - 12 pm

GUIDELINES
Original works in any fine art medium, including but not limited to: sculpture, painting, mixed media and installation.
All works must be completed in the last two years.
All works must be delivered ready-to-view (not wrapped or packaged).
2D works must be ready-to-hang (professionally framed/wired or gallery wrapped with painted sides). 2D can be NO LARGER than 6' x 6' due to 8' wall height.
3D works must be able to be lifted easily – artists must place works over 15 lb.
Jewelry must be submitted ready-to-display.
40% commission on all sales benefits Studios on the Park’s essential arts services to children and adults.

ENTRY PROCEDURE & FEES
Entries may be submitted digitally (high res jpegs only) or in person (see timeline)
Digital submissions should be emailed to [email protected].
All entries should include a bio or resume, short artist statement, contact information, artwork information (title, price, medium, size), and images. Artists may submit up to three images for each of entered work; please only include images at 300 dpi.
$15 for 1 entry, $25 for 2 entries, $10 for each additional entry.
No entry limit but entry fees are nonrefundable.
Entry fees can be paid through the online submission system or by sending a check payable to Studios on the Park to PO Box 3000, Paso Robles, CA 93447.

JUROR
Eve Provost Chartrand will be looking for personal vision and creative approach as well as excellence in execution.

SALES
40% commission on all sales benefits Studios on the Park’s essential arts services to children and adults.

AWARDS
Juror will select one Best in Show and four Awards of Excellence.

LIABILITY
The artist is responsible for safe delivery and timely pickup of work. If shipped, the artist is responsible for paying the delivery charges to and from Studios on the Park. The artist is also responsible for damage and/or loss of artwork.
