Opening the night is Marc E. Moglen, funk bassist and founder of Nomad Funk, bringing a high-energy solo performance rooted in groove and innovation.

The evening also includes a rare on-stage interview, as Marc sits down with Michael to explore his musical journey--past, present, and what's next.

Don't miss this singular night of conversation and performance with two unique voices in the world of bass.

About Michael Manring
Widely recognized as one of the world's leading solo bassists, Michael Manring has redefined the possibilities of the instrument. Known for his expressive depth and jaw-dropping technique, Michael blends advanced tunings and performance innovations to create music that's as emotionally resonant as it is technically stunning.

A former student of the legendary Jaco Pastorius, Michael has performed thousands of concerts across the globe--from Carnegie Hall to Yamaha Hall--and appeared on hundreds of recordings. His genre-crossing collaborations span artists like Suzanne Ciani, Michael Hedges, Thomas Dolby, and Alex Skolnick. As the longtime house bassist for Windham Hill Records, he released several acclaimed solo albums, including Thonk and Soliloquy, earning praise as "a master of the fretless bass without rival."

With numerous awards to his name and millions of views online, Manring continues to inspire audiences with a sound that transcends genre and expectation. As Musicien magazine put it:"Do not miss your next opportunity to discover the bassist with the most fresh and inventive playing today."

About Marc E. Moglen
Marc E. Moglen is a bassist, composer, and vocalist whose musical journey bridges science and soul. With academic roots in psychoacoustics from UC Berkeley and musicology research at the University of Leipzig, Marc brings deep curiosity to every note.

He began performing professionally in musical theatre at a young age, later diving into electronic composition and songwriting while honing his signature slap bass technique. Now based between continents, he leads Nomad Funk--an all-original instrumental trio founded in Valencia, Spain. Their debut album drops soon.
