Mercury Soul presents: Baroque & Beats

Mercury Soul is bringing dance music from across the centuries to San Francisco's DNA Lounge, showing their fans the wilder side of baroque music. Tightly interwoven with DJ sets, conductor Chad Goodman will lead some of the Bay Area's finest classical musicians - including members of the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale, Elevate Ensemble, and the SFCM Baroque Ensemble - in energetic performances of masterworks between sets by DJ Masonic (Mason Bates), DJ Justin Reed (Chicago), and DJ ROMANOWSKI all as part of a gorgeous, multimedia-infused concert bringing together the worlds of classical music and EDM/electronica.

Curated and led by acclaimed Bay Area composer/DJ Mason Bates, Mercury Soul’s pulsing, immersive evening is enhanced by dazzling lighting and projections. They've toured to some of the leading orchestras and clubs around the country. Mercury Soul created multiple shows for the Chicago Symphony; four sold-out shows with the New World Symphony; a sold-out show with the Pittsburgh Symphony at the club Static; and a recent debut at the Kennedy Center as part of their KC Jukebox series. Mercury Soul returned to San Francisco with resoundingly successful shows at Ruby Skye
and DNA Lounge, launching its educational program in the process.
