Hip-hop lyrics and chiptune beats are combined skillfully by nerdcore rapper Mega Ran into a brand new genre, chip-hop. Mega Ran used to be a teacher in Arizona but quit in order to pursue music full-time. The extra dedication he's paid to his own music production has served him well. He's been buzzing in the early chiptune community, starting with his debut album, The Call (2006). With three new EPs to start off the year and a Japan tour (funded 130% through Kickstarter) Mega Ran is looking to accomplish bigger and better goals with his songs.
