Medication Assisted Therapy: A Local Community Clinic Response to the Opioid Epidemic

Tam Nguyen, PhD is the Behavioral Health Director at Tri-City Health Center (TCHC). She is a licensed clinical psychologist who maintains an active training, consulting, and therapy practice. Dr. Nguyen is continuously developing innovative ways to translate science into practice. She is responsible for the dissemination of state-of-the-art knowledge and treatment interventions to integrate behavioral health and substance use services within a primary care setting. She oversees the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program at TCHC and is a member of the East Bay Safe Prescribing Coalition Accelerator Program, sponsored by California Health Care Foundation.
