What are the dangers and opportunities in crafting digital narratives today? In examining the principles of multimedia journalism, Richard Koci Hernandez will discuss experimental story forms of digital news today, convergence storytelling, and the ethical challenges facing visual journalists.

Richard Koci Hernandez is an Emmy award-winning innovator in journalism and multimedia. He recently published "The Principles of Multimedia Journalism: Packaging Digital News" Taylor & Francis, 2015. His photographic work has appeared in The New York Times, Wired, The New Yorker, among others. Koci Hernandez is an Assistant Professor of new Media at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
