Show from 8:15-10:30pm with one intermission

All-Ages are welcome

Songwriter Maya Elise leads an endearing band whose music is a warm expression of harmonic solace with stories that speak to the vulnerable curiosity of our lives. The sweeping honesty inherent in this group's music can move a crowd to both silence and jubilation. The band's self-released album Songs For The Breakdown is the pinnacle of Maya Elise & The Good Dream's welcoming and genuine folk music to date. For those in need of the soft, optimistic spark of a new friendship, journey or community, Maya Elise & The Good Dream's Songs For The Breakdown will give you that enriching charge. It's a musical companion during a time where human connection, collective empathy and artful expression feels paramount.
Throughout her time as a solo artist, Maya released her debut album, "The Way I Say Your Name" in December 2018, taking the listener back in time with a true classic folk feel, each song gently lifting a weight off of your shoulders. With the addition of her band, "The Good Dream," Maya's sound has evolved and expanded into an amplified folk-pop world, with clever and imaginative lyrics, crystal clear production, and harmonies to last you your lifetime. The band's new single, "Better Bird" was released February, 2022, along with a lively music video, in anticipation of a Spring 2023 album release.

Maya Elise & The Good Dream recently went on their first co-headlining European tour with Josiah Johnson (The Head & The Heart), and have played at many iconic Bay Area venues, including Great American Music Hall, Swedish American Music Hall, & Cafe Du Nord, toured around the United States to over 40 cities, and have shared the stage with More Fatter, Rainbow Girls, & Prateek Kuhad. Their music has been featured in publications such as Atwood Magazine, Glide Magazine & Amplify Her Voice.

Erisy Watt is an LA-based songwriter and musician whose third album, not either or but everything, was released on October 4 via First City Artists. Described by No Depression as "what contemporary folk sounds like at its peak," her music is often compared to that of 60s singer-songwriters. But on this record--co-produced by Luke Temple (Adrianne Lenker, Hand Habits)--she shakes the sound loose from the tenets of decade or genre, crafting a collection that drifts between earthy and cosmic, strikingly spare to richly textured, contemplative to playful. Over the past decade, Erisy has toured extensively across the US and abroad. Raised in Nashville, with years spent in Portland before landing in LA, she also spends part of the year in remote regions of Southeast Asia, where she works in environmental science. These experiences continually inform the content of her craft, shaping her perspective and deepening the sense of connection at the heart of her work. On not either or but everything, she expands the lens--peering through both telescope and microscope to find the common threads. She's on the road now in support of the album. Hear it live, stream it, or order it on vinyl on her website.
