Master Class Series

SEE EVENT DETAILS
What makes a song a "Standard?" Where did the genre that we call "The Great American Songbook" come from? Singer Lori Rivera is well known for her vocal talents in jazz, a cappella, pop, and musical theatre. Marshall Otwell, a superb pianist who was a former sideman with Carmen MacRae, is also known as an experienced educator. Together, the duo will explore the beloved tunes we call “Standards” and explore how they stand the test of time. Participants are invited to bring sheet music or lead sheets of their favorite song in their key for one-on-one coaching.
