Witness R/SF transform into MASQ—a gallery in drag for the night. We invite audience members to take part in this ephemeral fantasy: a living production featuring mystical non-linear narratives and a rotating cast that invites repeat exploration. At the nexus of improvisational movement, theatre, and installation art, MASQ immerses the viewer in the possibility of art as it unfolds in real time.
Upon entering, guests don masquerade masks and step into a headspace of wild imagination. The night begins with two featured acts from a rotating selection of experimental noise and sound, as well as a performative comedy-style MC. From experimental DJs to contact mic distortion, MASQ stages an inordinately intimate concert arena for an experience unlike any other. The second potion of the evening spotlights immersive performance by a cast of artists for audience members to navigate promenade style, involving spontaneous one-on-one interactions and a host of experimental soundscapes.
The event begins promptly at 8pm, doors close at 8:30pm. Mask and eccentric attire required.
