Opening reception Thur, Oct 6, 6-8:30pm, Exhibition October 1-31, 2016
Mary Lee Rybar is a painter and printmaker. She considers herself a lifelong student of making things. As an adjunct to her career and family life, she started producing custom hand painted textiles for a small stable of retailers.
For this exhibit, daily common iconography holds enduring interest for her inspiration as a visual artist. By elevating the ordinary, heralding the common place, Mary Lee attempts to notice and chronicle the extraordinary beauty within the routine boundaries of life. With each day, she tries to remember to just do the work and allow it to lead.
Join us for a reception to honor the artist on Thursday, October 6th, from 6pm-8:30pm at the gallery.
