FRIDAY MARCH 7TH / 10P-4A / 21+

MartyParty and Joker will be throwing down their unique brands of dance music grounded in deep bass on their upcoming North American tour. The two producers will wreck dancefloors around the nation with their hazy atmospherics and sultry-minded sonic vibes - languorous stretches of synthy psychedelia, grime and deep bass rooted in their true love, hard-hitting hip-hop!

MARTYPARTY
MartyParty (Martin Folb) is a sonic enigma - try as you might to peg his "signature" sound, the South African producer/DJ's genre is decidedly unclassifiable. Whether he's producing commercial hip hop as Martin Folb or making electronic music as MartyParty, there is no mistaking his sound, rich, melodic and always emotional, an unpredictable roller coaster ride through his new production and timeless catalog. MartyParty's music is constantly evolving and shifting, often bringing together unlikely combinations of deep bass drops, trance, gleaming synths, crowd pleasing hooks and a hard hip-hop backbone to create a new type of beast altogether.

Martin Folb wasn't always the life of the party—for years, he was a computer programmer in Silicon Valley. He eventually switched it up, swapping software programming for Ableton Live to produce his own genre-defying music, as well as joining forces with Ooah of The Glitch Mob as the mega duo PANTyRAiD. The beat maestro has been busy this past year with PANtyRAiD's full-length sophomore album PillowTalk dropping this past July, along with touring it around the country. MartyParty also contributes regularly to his new Vice Thump column, "EDM 101",, and is preparing his forthcoming full-length album Synthetic, all the while churning out a slew of new edits and remixes.

In celebration of his forthcoming tour and album, the purveyor of the underground unleashes this irresistibly irreverent cut "Anthem of the Masses", a synth-driven track that simultaneously breaks through genres like a ton of bricks and weaves them together in sinuous harmony. Marty says of the single, "When I sat down to write "Anthem of the Masses" I opened up the synthesizer, made this sound for a few hours and this was the first melody I played on it. Was meant to be :) This is a synthetic anthem for the masses to appreciate the awesome power of EDM, and how several genres of music can come together into one song. Enjoy the song and try and catch it on a festival sound system where it truly was meant to be heard and felt goosebumps. "Anthem Of The Masses" will give anybody goosebumps - die hard EDM fans, people new to EDM, and everyone in between - I cannot wait to get the opportunity to play this song (and all 12 of the other SYNTHETIC releases cooking right now)".

JOKER
Bristol, UK producer Joker (born Liam McLean), has been busy this past year releasing multiple records in his signature sinewy, melodic style of bass and dark, grime-infused beats. The producer heads up his own imprint, Kapsize Recordings, and has collaborated with acclaimed artists Jessie Ware, Freddie Gibbs, Flying Lotus, Zomby, Buggsy, Rustie and more. Heralded by Pitchfork as "evocative...beguiling" for his exceptional blend of R&B, grime, bass music and a dash of Sega Mega Drive - this is Joker.

ROBOT KOCH
Although Berlin based producer Robot Koch has an international reputation as being “One of Europe`s
finest producers of the beat generation“ (Low End Theory), he is much more than just a beatmaker…
“(Post)-Dubstep infused Electronic HipHop“ is far too constrained a label to understand what this
producer is all about.
Robot Koch is also the mastermind behind the critically acclaimed band Jahcoozi (BPitch Control), Robot
Robinson with John Robinson and works as a producer and composer for both indie and major artists
worldwide.

He is signed to the Berlin Electronic/Future Bass/HipHop label Project: Mooncircle since 2009 and he
released 4 Albums (Death Star Droid / Songs For Trees And Cyborgs / Robot Robinson / The Other
Side), and 2 EP’s (Listen To Them Fade / Death Star Droid Remix EP) in the last 3 years. Koch produced
also the full length debut album “Many Places” by Graciela Maria in 2010.

His music has been remixed by the likes of Modeselektor (Bpitch Control), Shlohmo (FOF), Blue Daisy
(Black Acre), Chris de Luca (Funkstörung), Ital Tek (Planet Mu) and Ata (Playhouse).
