We are proud to present renowned Swedish author Martin Widmark at The Scandinavian School in San Francisco on Tuesday April 16 from 5 to 7 pm.
Bring your family and come listen to Martin telling us about his writing and his wondeful books about "LasseMajas Detective Agency", "Nelly Rapp", and "Halvdan Viking". His books have been translated into more than 35 languages, and several of his books have been made into movies.
He is also the creator of "A reading Class"; a reading and comprehension program, which is used in Swedish public schools. Before becoming a full-time author, Martin worked as a middle-school teacher and a Swedish language teacher for immigrants, and now uses his experiences to promote reading and literacy for young people.
There will be time for questions and a chat with Martin afterwards. Fika will of course be provided .
Martin usually does his presentations in Swedish, but could easily switch to English if the audience prefer so.
