“..arguably the most accomplished solo guitar player in the world.†– Guitar Player Magazine
Recognized as the world's foremost exponent of solo jazz guitar playing, British born Martin Taylor has enjoyed a musical career spanning over 30 years. A child prodigy who began to play at the age of four, Taylor’s self-taught style was inspired by gypsy guitar great Django Reinhardt, as well as pianists Art Tatum and Bill Evans. Despite his connection to the great Reinhardt, he has developed a solo guitar style that is uniquely his own through his melding of influences including Reinhardt, Chet Atkins, Lenny Breau and Joe Pass.
