Marin Music Chest showcases the talents of five emerging classical musicians at its annual "Young Artists Concert," presented 5 p.m. Sunday, May 20 in Mill Valley.
The annual Marin Music Chest "Young Artists Concert" (co-sponsored by the Mill Valley Chamber Music Society) features performances by promising young Marin County musicians studying classical music.
The concert showcases solo performances by 2018 Marin Music Chest "Young Artists" Chris Boyadjiev (flute) of Novato; Lorenzo Soleri (violin) and Benjamin Wall-Feng (piano), both of Mill Valley; Benjamin Wu (cello) of Belvedere; and Art Zhao (piano) of Novato.
The "Young Artists Concert" will be presented at the Mt. Tamalpais United Methodist Church, 410 Sycamore Avenue, Mill Valley. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
Marin Music Chest is a private, non-profit organization staffed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors with an extensive musical background and an Artistic Council with professional backgrounds in music. Marin Music Chest has been dedicated to fostering a greater interest and appreciation of classical music in Marin since 1933 and has supported young classical musicians living in Marin County with annual scholarship awards and performance opportunities.
