Maria Muldaur is best known world-wide for her 1974 mega-hit "Midnight at the Oasis," which received several Grammy® nominations, and enshrined her forever in the hearts of Baby Boomers everywhere; but despite her considerable pop music success, her 62 year career could best be described as a long and adventurous odyssey through the various forms of American Roots Music.
Maria's latest album, her 44th, released in 2025, "One Hour Mama: The Blues of Victoria Spivey" was nominated for a Grammy and six different blues awards!
Marin Jazz is committed to building a vibrant, inclusive community of performing artists, jazz, soul and blues enthusiasts, musicians, and young learners. As a nonprofit, its mission is to advance performance, arts education and creative spirit in Marin schools. The Marin Jazz series at the Lark Theater benefits Kids After School Theatre Programs led by Education Director Sonia Perozzi.
