Margo Cilker is coming back through SF after recently opening for Hayes Carll. She'll be headlining Bottom of the Hill on June 8 with Ismay and Spud Buddy.
Cilker has been named an "Artist To Watch" by NPR Music and The Boot, and one of "15 Country Singers Every Indie Fan Needs To Know" by BrooklynVegan. She released her Sera Cahoone-produced debut, Pohorylle, last year, and it was named one of the Best Country Albums of 2021 by Stereogum, No Depression, The Boot, Glide Magazine, and more. It's continuing to receive critical acclaim with the Seattle Times recently calling it "one of the finest records to come out of the Northwest last year."
"Cilker shows that she is as interested in reinvigorating Southern country-folk storytelling tropes as she is in exposing their flaws" -- Rolling Stone
"Every song comes across as a chapter of a story that I want to hear more of, even if it's about circumstances that no one should have to live through." -- Nashville Scene
"A nearly flawless record from the opening track on." -- Glide Magazine
