MANIFESTO for Concrete Poetry LIVE AT GRAY AREA

Live dance, music, film and poetry performance honoring work by the late Wayne Kaumualii Westlake

"Language the missionaries taught us was broken glass." (Wayne Kaumualii Westlake 1979)

Step into a world where language shatters and the body speaks, join us for an immersive, interdisciplinary experience inspired by the explosive poetry of Wayne Kaumualii Westlake. Blending experimental film, modular synth, and live performance, "Language the Missionaries Taught Us Was Broken Glass" features a screening of MANIFESTO for Concrete Poetry, followed by a kinetic ritual of sound and movement featuring Jorge Bachmann, Sebastian Galasso, Richard Hamasaki, Pei-Ling Kao, and Jody Stillwater.
