Making the Institute: 3 Conversations

SEE EVENT DETAILS
UC Santa Cruz has just launched the planning process for a groundbreaking new interdisciplinary Institute of the Arts and Sciences. To commemorate this process, the Arts Division has gathered together an exceptional group of practitioners and thinkers whose work engages the arts, the sciences and social sciences, museums, performance, architecture, and landscape design. The result is Making the Institute: 3 Conversations, a conference with a keynote address on architecture, landscape, and community by the noted landscape architect, Walter Hood. The conversations include "The Uses and Abuses of Interdisciplinarity," "Envelope, Contents, and Community," and "Presenting in the Academy." For more information, go to http://arts.ucsc.edu/
