Barrio manouche is an acoustic San Francisco-based international septet (Spain, Quebec, France, Brasil and California) playing music that will take you on a magical journey, frequently joined by artists from around the globe. The San Francisco based ensemble has been recognized for its surprise concerts, innovative style, complex technique, and their passion for their musical improvisation. The band performs a repertoire of original instrumental compositions with a unique sound that it's difficult to classify but instantly recognizable deeply influenced by a range of musical traditions, from the swing of Louis Armstrong and Sidney Bechet, to the hot jazz of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, the gypsy soul of Eastern Europe, the flamenco of Paco de Lucía to the avant-garde sounds of Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman and John Coltrane...

Franky Boissy began playing at small parties and French cafes and made a name for him self in the mid-1990’s by masterminding the now legendary Bastille Day and WET parties. As his DJ career flourished and house music grew in popularity, Franky's passion drove him to production where he made his first track in 1996 and he has been hooked ever since.

WHAT IS FETE DE LA MUSIQUE?
It's a music celebration taking place on 21 June, every year !
This concept of an all-day musical celebration on the days of the solstice, was originated by the French Minister of Culture, Jack Lang. The first event took place in Paris in 1982. Ever since, the festival has become an international phenomenon, celebrated on the same day in more than 120 countries!
