Michael Meloy comes to Asilomar State Beach and Conference Grounds for a special lunch and historical lecture. A historian whose expertise is in California culture, society, politics, and environment, Michael Meloy leads the planning and implementation of the Cultural Resource program at Asilomar, and monitors projects and activities involving Asilomar's significant historical resources for compliance with Secretary of Interior Standards and the California Environmental Quality Act. His lecture will focus on the women of the YWCA and is entitled "To Be Alive in Such an Age: Asilomar and the Women of Tomorrow."
