Luci is the magical result of a spontaneous writing session between three songwriters. If The Eagles and Destiny’s Child came together to have a baby, and that child spent many weekends with Auntie Dixie Chicks and Uncle Allen Stone, it would have been called Luci. When McKail, Ariana and Ashley got together for the first time, it was in the living room of a North Hollywood apartment with roommates sleeping in the next room over. The moment they sang their first extremely quiet harmony together, they knew this was a musical bond that couldn’t be ignored.
Their sound is primarily folk/pop-based, but through their combination of genres and individual styles, the result has allowed three independent and stylistically different women to come together to form a unique blend; a blend that embraces their strengths and differences and morphs them all into a cohesive, mainstream sound. Luci has booked various venues around Los Angeles (The Troubadour, The Hotel Cafe, The House of Blues, Room 5, etc) and Nashville (The Listening Room, The Bluebird, The Country, etc) and continue to write. They released their first live EP, “Live From 201” in February of 2016 and their first studio single, “Can’t Be Alone With You” in July. They are currently recording for their debut album.
Taylor Rae is a guitarist/singer/songwriter born and raised in the mountains of Santa Cruz, California. She released her first studio album, "Gettin' High to Stay Low" in 2014 while living in Los Angeles. Now at 24, Taylor has found a way to modernize her unique 60s & 70’s inspired sound while blending r&b, jazz, funk and blues/rock into a beautiful melting pot of organic music she calls "Soul and Roll". She was awarded The 2017 Santa Cruz NEXTies "Musician of the Year." She plays full time around Santa Cruz and Monterey County- capping it off at 150 shows last year.
