Bay Area electro-cumbia group Los Discos Duro play their very first show this Friday as part of San Jose's rotating Latin music showcase Sonido Clash. To date they have one 7" single out, Te Lo Creo, which features two tracks of light, groovy cumbia beats, with tripped-out wobbling-keyboards and faintly robotic vocals. It's somewhere between future funk and a tropical dance party. Also joining them will be cutting-edge Latin DJs Roger Mas, Gazoo, Eazy Uno, Philthy Dronez, and Turbo Sonidero. (Amulya Datla)
