THIS EVENT HAS ENDED
During its two decades in existence, Los Bukis cemented itself as one of the most popular bands in Mexican music history, with countless hits and consistently excellent records. Los Bukis' music is a seamless blend of traditional Mexican music and pop, and the band's concerts feature a huge range of Mexican music - from traditional folk songs to melodious pop ballads. Because of the band's wide appeal, tickets to their shows and tours are sought out by people of all ages, making their audience one of the most diverse in the country. Before disbanding in 1995, the band put out their final album, Por Amor a Mi Pueblo, which reached the No. 5 spot on the U.S Latin chart. An anthology of their music, Antologia, was put out in 2013, and since its release, it has reached the No. 12 spot on the Regional Mexican Albums chart and the No. 26 spot on the Top Latin Albums chart.

Los Bukis, which means "the kids," was founded by cousins Joel and Marco Antonio Solis in 1975. While the other members of the band rotated, both Solis cousins remained with the group for two decades, guiding it to the place of esteem it eventually reached. Los Bukis hit big with their first album, Falso Amor, which went on to shape popular musical styles across Latin America for years to come. The album sold over one million records in a year, garnering it diamond status. In 1989, Los Bukis won four Lo Nuestro Awards, honoring the best in Latin music. Los Bukis' albums and singles consistently appeared on both the Latin American and the U.S. Latin charts, helping it develop an outstanding reputation in Mexico as well as internationally. Los Bukis hasn't made new music in awhile, but the popularity of the recent re-release of some of their best is a true testament to the timelessness and enduring quality of the stuff they made nearly two decades ago.
